Rob Beckett: National Treasure
Rob Beckett's career began in 2009 when he won four comedy competitions in one year including the Amused Moose Laugh-Off which led to a stint at the Adelaide Fringe where he won the best Newcomer. That year he was also a Runner-up for the prestigious So You Think You're Funny Award. In 2010/11 he supported Russell Kane on his national tour and then made his Edinburgh Fringe debut with his one-man show, Rob Beckett's Summer Holidays in 2012. His first solo UK tour, the Rob Beckett National Tour was enjoyed by thousands all over the UK and was followed up with Mouth of the South in 2016/17.
Unlike many comedians, it didn't take long before Rob was being snapped up by the television companies, getting a much-coveted slot on BBC's Live at the Apollo. One of his biggest gigs to date was co-presenting I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here NOW! from 2012-2014 before he moved on to various panel shows. He's now a co-presenter on 8 out of 10 Cats but has also guest starred on 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown, Would I Lie to You, Richard Bacon's Beer and Pizza Show, Taskmaster, Room 101 and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Beckett has also had acting bit parts including starring as Mike in Channel Four's Fresh Meat in 2011. Since 2014 Rob has been presenting the Rock'N'Roll Football show everyday Sunday on Absolute Radio.
