Brief History of the Club
Oklahoma City Energy FC played their first season in the United Soccer League in 2014 finishing 10th. A franchise was awarded to Prodigal LLC in 2013 and after a successful pre-season they won their first league match 2-0 against Orange County Blues FC. With a squad predominantly consisting of home based players, average home attendances have increased each season to nearly 5,000 in 2016.
The 2015 season saw them go all the way to the conference finals before losing out to LA Galaxy FC 2. This was almost matched the following season, but they succumbed in the semi-final in 2016, going down 3-2 to Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. Oklahoma City Energy FC also compete in the US Open cup, progressing to the fourth round in 2016 before being knocked out by FC Dallas.

The 2017 season saw the United Soccer League begin to broadcast all Oklahoma City Energy FC matches as the game looks to build on its increasing popularity.
