Among them are Andre Dawson, Trevor Hoffman, Mike Piazza, Ivan Rodriguez, Tony Perez, and Tim Raines. For such a young team, the Miami Marlins have certainly been making their mark in professional baseball.

Games and updates about the Marlins are broadcasted on television via Fox Sports Florida. From 1993 to 2007, the official flagship radio station of the Marlins was WQAM 560AM, and later moved to WAXY 790AM. Broadcasts are also in Spanish over Mambi 710AM. In 2003, the Marlins Mermaids, which is the first ever cheer/dance team in Major League Baseball, debuted. The cheer/dance team caught on and soon after, other baseball teams started having their own cheer/dance squads for their in-game entertainment.
