From East Coast to West Coast
Those who have been following the NBA will surely be very familiar with the Los Angeles Clippers. The iconic team from LA has been making its mark since their formation back in 1970. A member of the Pacific Division, the Los Angeles Clippers compete in the NBA’s Western Conference. The team was originally called the Buffalo Braves during its founding and competed to represent Buffalo, New York, until 1978. They then got relocated to San Diego, California, and changed their name to the San Diego Clippers. The Clippers spent six years in San Diego and eventually relocated to Los Angeles as the Los Angeles Clippers. Despite struggling with success, the Clippers finally managed to reach the playoffs in the 1991–1992 season, but were eliminated after losing to the Utah Jazz. Season 1992–1993 saw the Clippers again in the playoffs, for the second time since their relocation to Los Angeles. The team had a fierce run against the Houston Rockets whom they eventually lost to in the first round. Among the Los Angeles Clippers players who have become part of the basketball hall of fame include Bill Walton, Moses Malone, Adrian Dantley and Jamaal Wilks, just to cite a few.
