Jungle background
Jungle was formed in 2013 by childhood friends Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, who identified themselves as J & T, and released their first singles "Platoon" and "The Heat" in July and October of that same year. The band then expanded to a seven-piece group for their live gigs and then stayed that way. This struck a chord with music fans as gig-goers were tired of seeing new bands simply playing their tracks from a laptop, and their first concerts in London sold out within 24 hours of going on sale. In 2014, the band released their biggest single to date - "Busy Earnin" - a song that charted in the top 20 in the UK. Jungle then received a nomination for the BBC's prestigious Sound of 2014 Prize, missing out to eventual winner Sam Smith. This was followed up with the release of Jungle's first album in 2014. The first Jungle album charted in the top 10 in the UK and also charted well worldwide, including in Australia, Switzerland, Belgium and New Zealand. As if 2014 couldn't get any bigger for the London soul group, their debut album was also nominated for another important award - the 2014 Mercury Prize, this time missing out to Young Fathers with their album Dead. Now with a second album released in 2014, Jungle show no sign of slowing down. So get on the hype train and enjoy all the best Jungle with tickets to see Jungle available right here at StubHub.
