A biography
After getting his start in comedy by performing stand-up in clubs across America and subsequently making a name for himself as a regular on the New York comedy circuit, Breuer has continued to tour all over America bringing his surreal humour and charming stage persona to fans for the last 20 years. His two Comedy Central specials 2002’s Hardcore and 2009's Let’s Clear the Air continue to be two of the most highly rated comedy specials of all time. This has led him to be named one of Comedy Central’s “100 Greatest stand-ups of all time”.
Likewise, his live stand-up tours are similarly highly acclaimed most notably his 2008 Breuniversity tour in which he took along for the ride his 85-year-old father and a film crew, which was documented in the comedy road movie, The Jim Breuer Road Journals. Equally, his performance as part of The Anti-Social Network Tour, which he embarked on with fellow comedy legends Bill Burr and Dave Attell, has been widely praised by comedy critics and fans alike. Alongside his stage-work, Breuer brings his unique brand of comedy to the airwaves as he presents the immensely popular weekly radio show Fridays with Jim Breuer on the Sirius Satellite Radio network. In addition, Breuer has released an acclaimed autobiography, I’m Not High: (But I’ve got a lot of crazy stories about Life as a Goat Boy, A Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior), in which he charts his early life and the successes he’s had as a stand-up comedian.
