Howie Mandel is something of an institution when it comes to the history of Hollywood and stand-up. His signature onstage act early in his career featured him blowing up a latex glove placed over his head with only his nose. He has starred in and provided voices for many famous Hollywood movies down through the years, including roles in Gremlins and Gas.
Hollywood royalty on the stage
Howie Mandel is making his return to the stand-up stage after decades walking the red carpet in Hollywood. He has gone through many iterations in his varied career. After a long successful run as a stand up comic, he came to national attention with a six-season run as Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the show St. Elsewhere. He then went on to voice the much-beloved character Gizmo for the Gremlins franchise. Since then he has starred in a variety of sitcoms and shows. He has starred in his own sketch show Howie Mandel's Sunny Skies on Showtime and hosted his own syndicated talk show The Howie Mandel Show. He recently came to national prominence once again by hosting the American version of Deal or No Deal and by replacing David Hasselhoff as a judge on American's Got Talent. He has also made cameos in several major shows such as The Big Bang Theory and My Name is Earl.
A long-awaited return to the stage
Madel first came to prominence thanks to his stage antics. He started as a regular in clubs in Toronto, where his onstage presence was described 'borderline psychotic'. Mandel later revealed that he struggles with OCD and his new stand up acts never shy away from this aspect of his life. Mandel manages to create humour from the most tragic elements of his life, creating a strong connection with audiences and relating to those struggling through similar times. After Toronto, Mandel brought his chaotic act to Los Angeles and began performing at shows such as The Comedy Store and as an opening act for David Letterman. In 2004 he was ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 comedians of all time. His fearless show covers all manner of topic, from menopause, to prostate exams to doctors. Mandel's unique life experience gives his onstage performances a uniqueness and energy that is rare in its ability to grab you by both the heart and the funny bone and refuse to let go until the curtain drops. Howie Mandel tickets are your ticket to witnessing one of Hollywood's most beloved and enduring comedians return to the stage for a rare and charged evening of thoughtful comedy and hilarious antics.
