Your Bob Marley Comedian tickets from StubHub take you into the world of one the USA's hottest stand-up performers. Robert Cochrane Marley Jr or Bob Marley is a well-established American comedian whose TV and film credits include The David Letterman Show, Comedy Central and The Boondock Saints.
Bob Marley - a background to his career
Not to be confused with the famed reggae singer, Bob Marley's background is unreservedly middle-class, he even claims his father had no idea who the iconic singer was when naming his son. Born in Portland Maine in 1967 he attended both Deering High School and the University of Maine at Farmington. His studies, however, always took second place to a love of stand-up comedy. The foibles of his large Irish Catholic family, and in particular, his mother along with his neighbours in Maine play a central role in his comedic themes. These he delivers in his own inimitable high-octane way. Marley began his career in Portland before moving to Boston, a city known for producing comedy all-stars.
Bob Marley has regular appearances in over a dozen TV shows to his name and has been seen in everything from The Late Show with David Letterman to Prime Time Live with Diane Sawyer along with Comedy Central Presents and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In fact, he's one of only a few comics who's done the complete late-night TV circuit. Want to see why he's so famous? Buy your Bob Marley Comedian tickets now at StubHub!
Bob Marley - always on the road
On the big screen, Bob Marley played Detective Greenly in the cult film The Boondock Saints released in 1999. He reprised this role ten years later in the sequel The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. Further film credits include Liar's Club in 2001. His radio work and wide-ranging CD and DVD releases cover his stand-up routines, as well as sketch compilations, and bring him an even wider audience and fan base.
Bob Marley takes his comedy serious even to the extent of getting into the Guinness Book of World Records in September 2010, breaking Australian Lindsay Webb's record with 40 hours of stand-up comedy. Even more amazingly during the first 17 hours and 14 minutes, there wasn't a single repetition of material. His record stood for two and a half years before it was beaten by just 8 minutes! This energetic workaholic loves his comedy and is always popping up live somewhere in the States. Catch his latest sketches and gags with your Bob Marley Comedian tickets from StubHub.
